At Variqcap, executive production is more than a credit—it’s a philosophy.
From music videos and television pilots to award-winning independent films, our journey as executive producers has always been guided by one principle: bold stories deserve bold execution. We don’t just fund ideas—we champion vision, talent, and narratives that challenge, entertain, and endure.
The Early Years: Building a Foundation for Impact
In the early 2010s, our producing roots took hold in the world of short-form content—music videos, branded promos, and concept pilots. These formative years were driven by curiosity and a commitment to giving new creators a platform. Our projects spanned genres, pushed creative boundaries, and helped shape the storytelling voices of tomorrow.
Breakthrough Moment: The Shed (2022)
Our first major commercial success came in 2022 with the release of The Shed, a retro-horror short film that fused 1980s nostalgia with sophisticated visual storytelling. Shot in the eerie beauty of the Berkshire Mountains and starring Halloween III’s Stacey Nelkin alongside rising star Eva Hamilton, the film delivered a cinematic experience that resonated across audiences and critics alike.
The Shed garnered:
- 🏆 18 official festival selections
- 🎬 5 Best Picture awards
- 🌍 Distribution through Cinedigm, a global leader in digital content
This project was not only a creative achievement but a defining moment in our evolution—proving that thoughtful, genre-driven content can thrive when matched with fearless execution.
Looking Ahead: God Fearing Man (2026)
Now, we’re preparing to take our work to an entirely new level.
Set for production in 2026, God Fearing Man is an ambitious, visually charged reimagining of the biblical story of Sodom & Gomorrah. Penned by screenwriter John Broadhead and supported by a world-class production team, the film will tackle themes of temptation, morality, faith, sin, and redemption—all told through a modern, immersive lens.
With a balance of gritty realism and stylized tension, God Fearing Man is designed not just to entertain, but to provoke conversation and awaken new perspectives. We are committed to shaping this film with the same intensity, risk, and belief in story that has fueled every step of our producing journey.
What Drives Us
Producing is more than logistics and budgets—it’s about shaping culture, amplifying unheard voices, and elevating stories that need to be told. At Variqcap, our executive producing philosophy lives at the crossroads of creative vision and strategic execution. We believe in betting on the bold, investing in meaning, and delivering work that speaks long after the credits roll.
This is not just production. This is a pursuit of truth—one frame at a time.
